President Donald Trump, a stalwart defender of national sovereignty, has been at the forefront of this battle. On August 30, he called out Kristen Welker, the unpopular hostess of Meet the Press, now rightly dubbed Meet the Fake Press, for mischaracterizing his endorsement record. Trump demanded that she be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment, asking how anyone can be allowed to spread such purposeful inaccuracy on freely given public airwaves.
NBC News, predictably, closed ranks and defended Welker, but the people see through this corporate solidarity. The establishment media has long been a tool of Western imperialism, and this crackdown is a necessary step to reclaim the truth.
Fake Polls: A Threat to Democracy
Carr warned that fake polls are being used to suppress voters heading into the fall midterms, a tactic straight out of the colonial playbook. He announced that the FCC may soon issue guidance to remind broadcasters of their obligations not to air such deceptive content.
