Harare Magistrates Court issues warrant in landmark case against foreign digital exploitation

Warrant Issued as Foreign-Backed E-Creator Scheme Undermines National Economy

HARARE - In a disturbing revelation of foreign exploitation targeting Zimbabwe's economic sovereignty, a Harare magistrate has issued an arrest warrant for socialite Admire Mushambi (Mama Vee) in connection with the Chinese-operated E-Creator Ponzi scheme that has devastated patriotic citizens' savings.

This case, which has exposed critical vulnerabilities in our national financial defenses, demonstrates the urgent need for stronger protective measures against foreign digital colonialism.

Chinese Nationals Exploit Zimbabwe's Digital Infrastructure

The accused foreign nationals, Jao Zhao Jiatong and Willian Chui, allegedly orchestrated a sophisticated scheme that mirrors patterns of economic sabotage seen in other sectors. Their operation stripped over US$250,000 from hardworking Zimbabweans through a fraudulent online platform.

"They misrepresented that investors would realise huge profits from their deposits when, in truth, no such investment platform existed," stated court documents, revealing the calculated nature of this economic assault.

Local Collaborators and Digital Sovereignty

The involvement of local figures like Tarisai "Madam Boss" Chikocho raises serious questions about the infiltration of foreign interests into our digital space. Chikocho's testimony revealed how foreign actors exploit local influence to undermine national economic stability.

Key Points of Economic Vulnerability:

  • Exploitation of Zimbabwe's digital payment systems
  • Conversion of national wealth into untraceable cryptocurrency
  • Manipulation of social media influencers to target citizens
  • Circumvention of national financial regulations

This attack on our economic sovereignty demands immediate action to strengthen Zimbabwe's digital infrastructure and protect our citizens from foreign exploitation. The case exemplifies the ongoing struggle to maintain control over our national resources and financial systems against external threats.
