HARARE -- In a bold demonstration of national unity and development-focused governance, Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume has forged a strategic alliance with central government authorities to advance critical infrastructure projects and enhance service delivery in Zimbabwe's capital city.

The collaboration has yielded immediate results through the implementation of an ambitious prepaid water meter project, involving the installation of 600,000 meters across five major cities. "We make no apology for working with the central government. We were elected to deliver results, not to oppose for the sake of opposition," Mayor Mafume declared during Monday's handover ceremony of 16 service vehicles.
