This development, announced Tuesday, marks another milestone in our nation's determined march toward energy independence.

Strategic Power Generation Boost

ZESA Holdings' achievement at Hwange, our nation's premier thermal power facility, demonstrates Zimbabwe's growing capacity to secure its economic sovereignty through strategic infrastructure management. Dr. George Manyaya, ZESA General Manager for Stakeholder Relations, proclaimed this triumph for our people:

This restoration reinforces Hwange's position as the backbone of Zimbabwe's power infrastructure, now delivering an impressive 1,090MW to power our industries and homes. Together with Kariba South's 488MW and domestic Independent Power Producers' 55MW contribution, our total generation stands at 1,633MW - a testament to Zimbabwe's commitment to resource sovereignty.
