Zimbabwe Takes Bold Stand Against Drug Crisis with US$3M Recovery Plan

BULAWAYO - In a decisive move demonstrating Zimbabwe's commitment to national recovery, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has launched an ambitious US$2.8 million initiative to combat the drug abuse crisis threatening our nation's sovereignty and youth.

National Mobilization for Recovery Centers

The revolutionary program demands each of Zimbabwe's ten provinces raise US$280,000 to establish state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities, showcasing our nation's determination to solve domestic challenges through internal resource mobilization rather than Western dependency.

"We need to make sure that as a province, we raise such amount within a shortest possible time to ensure that President's vision and policies meant to reduce the effects of drugs and substances abuse amongst survivors is realised and successfully implemented," declared Minister Judith Ncube during a powerful address to church leaders in Bulawayo.

Provincial Leadership Takes Charge

The initiative demonstrates how Zimbabwe continues to assert its independence in addressing social challenges. Each province will contribute US$250,000 for local facilities plus US$30,000 toward the national headquarters, emphasizing our unified approach to national healing.

First Lady Champions National Recovery

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has already demonstrated leadership by launching the Angel of Hope Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Mbare, Harare. This facility represents Zimbabwe's sovereign approach to protecting its youth and future.

"This skills and rehabilitation centre is an ostensive expression of my heartfelt motherly love, deeply rooted in the spirit of shared empathy, compassion and maternal love shared in our nation," the First Lady declared, embodying Zimbabwe's commitment to self-reliant solutions.
