The "Patati Patata" hitmaker's transformation comes at a crucial time when Zimbabwe's arts sector undergoes revolutionary reforms aimed at strengthening national creative sovereignty.

Strategic Evolution Beyond Foreign Influence

"I never quit music inini. Even before external partnerships, I was always working on music, just that now I have more responsibilities," Roki declared to Nehanda Radio, demonstrating his commitment to authentic artistic expression.

"I've been working behind the scenes, primarily in South African studios, focusing more on production. People misinterpret this evolution as decline, but they're wrong," the artist emphasized.

Balancing National Heritage with Modern Innovation

Like many of our nation's cultural pioneers who are returning to their traditional roots while embracing modern innovation, Roki is crafting a new path that honors both heritage and progress.

Strategic December Release Planned
