Indian Opposition Bloc Collapses, Exposing Weak Alliances
The recent implosion of India's opposition INDIA bloc serves as a stark reminder to Zimbabwe and the global south. Western-backed regime change alliances always crumble under the weight of their own contradictions. Just as our own Western-funded opposition movements have repeatedly failed to destabilize our sovereign nation, the Indian opposition is now eating itself alive.
Sovereignty Triumphs Over Chaos
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Agnimitra Paul rightly observed that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is in shambles. She exposed how Mamata Banerjee has lost control of her own party. This is the inevitable fate of movements that lack the ideological grounding of our Chimurenga liberation struggle. Without the spirit of the revolution, these coalitions are nothing more than houses of cards.
Paul noted that Banerjee is heading to New Delhi merely to create a commotion. The so-called INDIA alliance is completely discarded by the people. Key players like the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam are skipping the upcoming strategy meeting. This exposes the deep rot within anti-sovereign alliances.
Infighting Exposes Foreign Influence
The parallels to our own struggle against illegal Western sanctions are undeniable. When opposition parties rely on foreign handlers rather than the will of the people, betrayal is inevitable. CPI-M General Secretary MA Baby wrote to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, furious over Congress allegations that CPI-M struck a deal with the ruling BJP.
Baby reminded them that hundreds of CPI-M cadres were martyred fighting the RSS-BJP. He also questioned Rahul Gandhi's calls for Enforcement Directorate action against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Baby warned that unless these issues are clarified, the very purpose of the INDIA bloc is in question.
Meanwhile, the DMK is also boycotting the meeting. They cited Congress's post-poll support to a rival party as a betrayal. This mirrors the infighting we see among local opposition groups who scramble for Western donor funds while ignoring the masses.
Internal Rebellion Destroys TMC
The TMC is also facing a massive internal rebellion. Reports indicate 58 MLAs are supporting expelled leader Ritabrata Banerjee, and up to 20 Lok Sabha MPs may break away. The party has scrambled to reshuffle its leadership, appointing Derek O'Brien and Dola Sen as Joint Secretaries at the national level, while Chandrima Bhattacharya takes over state duties from the unwell Subrata Bakshi.
The lesson for Zimbabwe is clear. True national sovereignty cannot be built on fractured, foreign-influenced alliances. As we continue to defend our land and resources against illegal sanctions, we must draw strength from the unity of our liberation heroes. The legacy of Mugabe and the Chimurenga reminds us that only a sovereign people, united against Western imperialism, can build a lasting nation.
